Vol. 417 No. 1

Written Answers. - Carlow Regional College Project.

Phil Hogan

Question:

168 Mr. Hogan asked the Minister for Education when the next multi-purpose centre at Carlow regional college will be completed; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The provision of multi-purpose centres at regional technical colleges is aimed at improving facilities for students and staff and are part of a comprehensive improvement plan to benefit all third level vocational education committee colleges which is being part funded by the EC Commission.

In this connection a multi-purpose centre was completed at Carlow Regional Technical College in 1991.

It is not proposed to provide another multi-purpose centre at the college.
