Question:

171 Mr. J. Higgins asked the Minister for Education if he will outline the number of multiple classes (details supplied) which are in the following pupil/teacher ratio category, (a) under 25/1, (b) between 25 and 30/1, (c) between 30 and 35/1, (d) between 35 and 40/1 and (e) over 40/1, for the latest available date; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The information required by the Deputy is given in the following tabular form for the 1990-91 academic year. Data in brackets refer to the 1989-90 academic year.
