Question:

167 Mr. G. Reynolds asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when a person (details supplied) will receive payment of a suckler cow grant; and the reason for the delay in payment.

There is no delay in payment in this case. The person named did not lodge an application under the EC suckler cow premium scheme during the normal application period of May-June 1991 but opted for the later application period of January 1992.

Payments in respect of applications lodged in January 1992 are not expected to commence until May 1992.

If the application of the person named is found to be in order payment will be made in due course.

Michael Moynihan

Question:

168 Mr. Moynihan asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if he will investigate the delay of the payment of a beef premium grant to a person (details supplied) in County Kerry.

This applicant's 1991 special beef premium scheme grant is being processed at present and if found in order payment will issue shortly.
