Written Answers. - Urban Renewal Schemes.

Michael Creed

Question:

49 Mr. Creed asked the Minister for the Environment if he will outline the progress that has been made on the various urban renewal schemes throughout the country; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The urban renewal scheme has to date given rise to private sector investment of £773 million on development projects as follows: projects completed — £257 million; projects in progress — £136 million; and projects in planning — £380 million.

This is in addition to the Custom House Docks Development in Dublin valued at some £400 million.
