Vol. 417 No. 9

Written Answers. - Reconstruction of Dublin City Schools.

Jim Mitchell

Question:

208 Mr. J. Mitchell asked the Minister for Education if he will confirm that financial provision has been made in the 1992 Estimates for the reconstruction and refurbishment of the Central Model Schools, Dublin 1; if he will outline whether the tender documents are now ready; when a contractor will be placed; and when work is likely to commence.

Provision has been made in the capital programme for primary schools in 1992 for the restoration and refurbishment of the Central Model Schools, Marlborough Street, Dublin 1.

Architectural planning is well advanced and it is hoped to be in a position to invite tenders in April and to place a contract when tenders have been received and considered. It is not possible at this stage to say when precisely the work will commence.
