Vol. 417 No. 9

Written Answers. - Western Package.

Edward Nealon

Question:

318 Mr. Nealon asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if he will outline the amount of work in money terms started but still to be completed under the western package.

It is estimated that approved works with an overall cost of £1 million out of a total of £68 million have not been completed. It is not possible to give the number where work was started.

As these cases were not completed even within the extended time limit allowed by the EC the approvals have now expired.
