Question:

27 Mr. Kavanagh asked the Minister for Education the number of teachers who retired at first and second level in each of the past three years; the number in each case that retired on disability grounds; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The number of pensions awarded to teachers who retired under the various categories in the past three years is as follows:

The provision of information relating to vocational teachers is a matter for the Department of the Environment.
