77 Mr. Ferris asked the Minister for Education the way in which he intends to utilise the remaining £5 million for capital purposes at second level; the specific projects which will be funded; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
As I indicated in my reply to a number of Deputies on 10 March 1992, the current commitments arising under the various headings of the second level capital programme were of the order of £12 million.
Expenditure also arises in respect of major projects already in progress, resource and equipment grants to schools, provision of prefabricated accommodation, emergency works, site and property acquisitions, and planning fees, which will utilise the remaining £5 million of the capital allocation.
