Vol. 417 No. 9

Written Answers. - Official Dáil Reports.

Nuala Fennell

Question:

117 Mrs. Fennell asked the Minister for Finance if he will outline the number of copies printed per day of the Official Dáil Reports; and the number of copies sold in 1990 and 1991.

The number of copies of the Dáil Debates which were printed per day in 1990 was 1,110. The year 1990 was the first year in which Government Departments and Offices were required to pay for the copies of the Dáil Debates which they received.

Due to a reduction in demand, the number of copies which were printed per day in 1991 was 1,070.
There has been a further reduction in demand in 1992 and the number of copies being printed per day under the present contract is 920.
The number of copies of the Dáil Debates sold in 1990 was approximately 36,000 and the number sold in 1991 was approximately 37,000.
