Vol. 418 No. 1

Written Answers. - Geriatric Boarding Out Allowances.

Bernard Allen

Question:

129 Mr. Allen asked the Minister for Health if any increase has been granted in the boarding out allowance in respect of the scheme operated by the Southern Health Board for geriatric patients.

The Southern Health Board inform me that they do not operate a boarding-out scheme for elderly people. In the past they have facilitated the placing of a small number of elderly persons with families but the essential character of this, including the financial arrangements, was a private matter between the persons concerned and the families.
