Question:35 Mr. Yates asked the Minister for Finance when a tax rebate will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Wexford in relation to a mortgage relief claim; and if he will expedite this.

I have been advised by the Revenue Commissioners that the inspector of taxes has now reviewed the liability of the taxpayer and that of his wife for the income tax year 1990-91. A total overpayment of £306.45 has arisen. Cheques for this amount will be issued within the next seven to ten days.
