Question:43 Mr. Gregory asked the Minister for Finance if his Department can assist in finding a sanctuary for the wild goat (details supplied) at Killeigh, County Offaly; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

Wild or feral goats are not a protected species under the Wildlife Act, 1976 and therefore the Office of Public Works would not be in a position to provide a sanctuary for the herd of wild goats at Killeigh, County Offaly.
