Vol. 418 No. 2

Written Answers. - Dublin School Funding.

Question:

55 Mr. Brady asked the Minister for Education if he will give Deputy Vincent Brady a reply to his representations concerning funding for a school (details supplied) in Dublin 5.

The representations made by the Deputy in regard to additional teaching provision for the school in question have been under consideration in my Department. The position is that the school has been given its full teacher allocation in accordance with the regulations and the Department is not in a position to sanction additional teaching hours over and above the approved staffing levels.

Improved pupil-teacher ratios for 1992-93 will enable the school to increase its teacher quota for next year.
