Vol. 418 No. 2

Written Answers. - LPG Storage Tanks.

Ivor Callely

Question:

99 Mr. Callely asked the Minister for the Environment if he will outline the measures on regulations he intends to introduce to have compulsory safety standards for the installation of LPG storage tanks to motor vehicles and the mechanism that will be put in place to ensure that fitting of such tanks is in line with the safety standards.

I refer to the reply to Question No. 112 of 12 June 1991. Consultations with interested parties about the making of standards regulations will be completed as soon as possible. At this stage, I cannot say what the outcome may be.
