120 Mrs. T. Ahearn asked the Minister for Education if he will give details of the per capita annual cost for a student in (a) voluntary secondary schools, (b) community/comprehensive schools and (c) vocational schools; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
The information available to my Department does not permit the determination of meaningful comparative per capita annual costs for a student by type of post-primary school.
Currently a study is being completed to determine, by category of school, reliable comparative recurrent unit costs for students following similar general post-primary education programmes. The findings of the study will be available later in the year.
