Vol. 418 No. 4

Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

Terry Leyden

Question:

228 Mr. Leyden asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if he will have arrangements made for headage payments to be made to a person (details supplied) in County Roscommon.

This person has been paid part of the grants due to him under the 1991 cattle and equines headage scheme already and he will be paid the balance due to him shortly.

He listed on his application for grants under the 1991 special beef premium scheme six animals on which premium had already been claimed. Under EC Regulations governing the scheme my Department have no choice but to disallow him 1991 special beef premium grants and to debar him from the scheme for 12 months.
