Question:117 Mr. Leonard asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if he will outline the steps which are being taken to develop the seed potato export market as an alternative farm enterprise.
Written Answers. - Seed Potato Exports.
The promotion and development of exports are the statutory responsibility of An Bord Tráchtála (ABT). An Bord Glas work closely with ABT as regards export promotion of potatoes and horticultural produce. I would also refer the Deputy to the replies to parliamentary questions Nos. 104 of 13 November 1991, 401 of 24 March 1992, and 161 of 1 April 1992, which provide additional information relating to the potato industry.
