Written Answers. - Institutional Care for Dublin Child.

153 Mr. Rabbitte asked the Minister for Health the provision he can make to provide institutional care for a 13 year old girl (details supplied) in Dublin 24 who is diagnosed schizophrenic and who, as a result, has such a disruptive impact on her younger sister and brothers that normal life is impossible and where her own protection demands such institutional care and where her parents are unable to cope.

It would be inappropriate of me to reply to the Deputy's question which involves clinical details of the individual concerned.

I will ask the Inspector of Mental Hospitals to investigate this case and will communicate separately with the Deputy.
