Vol. 419 No. 5

Written Answers. - Donegal Treatment Plant.

Dinny McGinley

Question:

26 Mr. McGinley asked the Minister for the Environment if an application has been lodged in his Department by Donegal County Council for a treatment plant (details supplied) in County Donegal; if so, the date on which the application was received; the estimated cost of the treatment plant; when he will sanction same; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

In November 1990, my Department received an application from Donegal County Council for a package sewage treatment plant at Malinmore at an estimated cost of £60,000. The design of the proposed scheme was not considered to be adequate for the Malinmore area and the Council have since informed my Department that they are to prepare new proposals.
