Question:114 Mr. Sheehan asked the Minister for Energy when a person (details supplied) in County Cork will receive a grant under the special EC grant scheme for the installation of electricity in his farm dwelling.

The application in question was recently approved in my Department. The ESB will be in touch with the applicant shortly to quote him terms for supply. As soon as the ESB are notified of acceptance of the terms, the applicant will be placed on their work programme and the supply will be connected in due course.
The EC funded scheme was terminated in June, 1990 and replaced by the State/ESB funded Farm Electrification Grants Scheme.
