137 Mr. Nealon asked the Minister for Education if he is now in a position to give a definite date on which construction work will start on the Sligo swimming pool project; and when it is anticipated that the work will be completed.
Tenders for the Sligo Swimming Pool project are presently under consideration by Sligo Corporation and its consultants and a report and recommendation in the matter is awaited by my Department. Pending receipt of this report it is not possible to give a definite date for the commencement of construction work on the project. The contract period for a project of this nature would normally be twelve months.
