Vol. 419 No. 6

Written Answers. - Beaumont Hospital (Dublin) Nurse's Home.

Ivor Callely

Question:

147 Mr. Callely asked the Minister for Health if he will outline the progress which has been made to build a purpose built nurses' home on the Beaumont Hospital campus, Dublin 9; if, in view of the fact that Beaumont Hospital is a teaching hospital and the student nurses are currently being accommodated in a 35 bed unopened ward, this project will be given priority; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

I understand from the hospital that the building of a purpose-built nurses home is not the hospital's immediate priority for 1992.

The proposals will be kept under review in the light of the many other demands for additional resources by the hospital.
