Vol. 420 No. 4

Written Answers. - St. Patrick's College, Maynooth.

Bernard J. Durkan

Question:

133 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Education if he intends to revise the decision to restrict the numbers eligible for a H.Dip in Education at St. Patrick College, Maynooth, County Kildare in view of the fact that at least 160 places are required and that imposition of a quota will cause hardship, and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The intake quotas to Higher Diploma in Education programmes in the Universities, including St. Patrick's College, Maynooth were allocated by the Higher Education Authority.

I am arranging to have the matter reexamined.
