Bernard J. Durkan

Question:

92 Mr. Durkan asked the Taoiseach if favourable consideration will be given to the award of grant aid, under the aegis of the National Heritage Council, to St. Mary's Church of Ireland, Maynooth, County Kildare; if so, when, and if he will make a statement on the matter.

I understand that the National Heritage Council has received an application for funding in respect of St. Mary's Church of Ireland, Maynooth, County Kildare.

The question of whether or not to offer grant assistance to projects is entirely a matter for the council which has complete independence in its assessment of requests for assistance, the priorities for grant assistance, and the amount, if any, in each case.
