Vol. 420 No. 6

Ceisteanna — Questions. Oral Answers. - Apple Imports.

Austin Deasy

Question:

10 Mr. Deasy asked the Taoiseach if he will outline the volume and value of apples imported into this country in 1991.

The external trade statistics for 1991 show that imports of apples amounted to 47,579 tonnes with a value of £22.6 million.

We are now moving on to questions nominated for priority and a time limit applies. Let us have the utmost brevity.

May I seek the Chair's assistance in relation to a question?

The Deputy ought not to raise it at this juncture. I am about to embark upon Priority Questions. If the Deputy has a question to pose he will have to find another time.

I hope I will be allowed raise it at another time.
