39 Mr. J. Higgins asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he will give details of the legislation for which he is responsible enacted by the Oireachtas which has not yet gone into effect; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
Certain sections of the following Acts have not yet come into effect:
—Insurance Act, 1936
—Companies (Amendment) Act, 1986
—Companies Act, 1990
—Competition Act, 1991.
In addition, the Patents Act, 1992, which was enacted by the Oireachtas in February 1992, will come into force on 1 August 1992.
