Question:91 Mr. J. O'Keeffe asked the Minister for Justice if he will outline the circumstances in which asylum would be offered by Ireland to refugees from Bosnia and Croatia.

Political asylum would be granted in accordance with our international commitments arising under the 1951 United Nations Convention, as amended by the 1967 Protocol, relating to the status of refugees.
