111 Mr. Dukes asked the Minister for Education when he will be in a position to make a decision in relation to a request from the North Kildare national school project to lease or lease-purchase a former hall (details supplied) in County Kildare; the reason for the inordinate delay in dealing with this request; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
My Department has received an application from the North Kildare National School Project for the recognition of a multi-denominational primary school.
The applicants have identified a hall that they consider suitable for use as a temporary school premises and which they have sought to lease from the owner, another Government Department. I am awaiting a report on the suitability of these premises as temporary accommodation for the proposed new school.
