Vol. 420 No. 9

Written Answers. - County Monaghan School Extension.

William Cotter

Question:

114 Mr. Cotter asked the Minister for Education if he will outline the current status of the application by a school (details supplied) in County Monaghan for an extension to the school; the date the application was received by his Department; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

Proposals to provide additional accommodation at this school were reactivated on 28-11-91.

Sketch plans are being prepared and as soon as these are completed, they will be forwarded to the school authorities to enable them to seek planning permission for the project.

It is intended to replace the existing prefabricated classroom at the school mentioned by the Deputy in County Monaghan with a permanent classroom and to refurbish the existing school building.
