Question:121 Mr. E. O'Keeffe asked the Minister for Justice the reason for the delay in having an application for a grant of probate completed in respect of a person (details supplied) in County Cork.

The application in question was lodged in the Probate Office on 11 February, 1992 and the Grant of Probate was issued on 10 June 1992.
The delay in the issuing of the Grant of Probate occurred because the Probate Officer found it necessary to raise queries with the solicitor in connection with the papers submitted in the case.
