Vol. 421 No. 4

Written Answers. - Medical Doctor's Visa Termination.

Jim Higgins

Question:

131 Mr. J. Higgins asked the Minister for Justice the reason a qualified Pakistani medical doctor (details supplied) in Dublin 2 was not allowed to remain in this country until October to complete his post-graduate studies; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The person in question applied for and was granted, a visa to enter the State for the purpose of sitting an examination.

In applying for that visa, the applicant indicated that he would be departing the State around 29 May. Any further application for a visa to come here for study purposes will be considered separately.
