Question:217 Mr. G. O'Sullivan asked the Minister for Health the number of magnetic resonance imaging scanners available in Dublin and Cork hospitals; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
Written Answers. - MRI Scanners.
I understand that three private hospitals in Dublin each have an MRI scanner. No hospital in Cork has such equipment. Beaumont Hospital is in the process of installing an MRI scanner and it is hoped that this will be in operation by the end of this year.
