247 Mr. V. Brady asked the Minister for the Environment if he will give details of the number of parliamentary questions tabled to him for the year 1991 and the total cost involved; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

Minister for the Environment (Mr. Smith)

The number of Parliamentary Questions tabled to the Minister for the Environment in 1991 was 2,040, of which 1,512 were answered. A disproportionate amount of time would be involved in establishing the precise cost involved.
