Question:283 Mr. Farrelly asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if sheep farmers will have a choice to select any year between 1989 and 1992 for their quota; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

Under the recently agreed Common Agricultural Policy reform measures, the individual quotas for all producers in a given member state of the EC will be based on the same year. That year can be either 1989, 1990 or 1991 at the choice of the member state.
