Question:

50 Mr. Creed asked the Minister for the Environment the steps, if any, which have been taken by the Government to devolve to local authorities the distribution of surplus national lottery funds for amenity purposes.

53 Mr. Quinn asked the Minister for the Environment if he has completed the documentation in relation to the Government's decision to provide for local authorities to receive a block grant of national lottery funds for local amenity purposes; when the local authorities will be informed of the decision; when they will receive the moneys related to the allocations; when he expects local groups, who have applied for funds, to receive funds; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

245 Mr. Farrelly asked the Minister for the Environment when the Government intend announcing the allocation of national lottery funds to each local authority for 1992, so the local authorities can make application forms available to organisations who are interested in receiving allocations; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

267 Mr. J. Mitchell asked the Minister for the Environment if he will outline the total amount of national lottery grants made available through local authorities in 1991 and the total number of projects initiated in 1991 under this heading; when the amounts to be made available to each local authority in 1992 will be announced; if he will confirm that the Government have no intention of going back on their announced decision to make block national lottery grants available to local authorities and allowing them the discretion as to which projects are to be assisted either by cancelling new grants altogether or by reverting to central decision making.
