Question:101 Mr. Gregory asked the Minister for Finance if all landlords listed on Dublin Corporation's register of landlords are registered as such for income tax purposes.

I have been informed by the Revenue Commissioners that they are already involved in discussions with all local authorities with a view to gaining access to their registers of landlords.
These discussions have been underway for some time and form part of an ongoing programme of investigation conducted on a countrywide basis by the Revenue Commissioners in dealing with tax evasion in the private rented sector.
