Vol. 421 No. 6

Written Answers. - National Primary Route Funding.

Nora Owen

Question:

126 Mrs. Owen asked the Minister for the Environment if, as a matter of urgency, he will provide sufficient money to Dublin County Council for the national primary route to Belfast in the area of Pinnock Hill, Swords, County Dublin, in order to allow the erection of a traffic island in the centre of the road, in view of the fact that residents in his area find it impossible to cross from one side of the road to the other.

A traffic island will be provided at this location in conjunction with the provision of a median barrier in which it is intended to provide openings to facilitate pedestrians. With regard to the timing of the work, I refer to the reply to Question No. 151 of 3 June, 1992.
