Vol. 421 No. 6

Written Answers. - Knocklyon (Dublin) School.

Alan Shatter

Question:

79 Mr. Shatter asked the Minister for Education whether, in the light of recent increases in the population of the Knocklyon and Scholarstown areas in Dublin, it is intended to construct the Knocklyon Community School; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

I have asked the relevant section of my Department to carry out a full review of the post-primary needs of the Knocklyon and Scholarstown areas. That review is now nearing completion. Until I have received and examined this review I will not be in a position to decide if a new post-primary school for the area is required.
