Question:

108 Mr. E. O'Keeffe asked the Minister for Education the up-to-date position regarding a national school (details supplied) in County Cork.

This school is vested in the Minister for Finance, for 900 years from 1983.

Arrangements are in hand to transfer this leasehold interest from the Minister for Finance to the Minister for Education, prior to the vesting of the school in local trustees in accordance with current standard arrangements.

Question:

109 Mr. E. O'Keeffe asked the Minister for Education if he will sanction the building of two conventional classrooms for a school (details supplied) in County Cork.

While grant aid for two pre-fabricated classrooms at this school has been approved, the question of allowing conventional classrooms as requested by the school authorities recently is under examination. My Department will be in touch with the school authorities again as soon as the details proposed have been examined.
