154 Mr. Nealon asked the Minister for Education if he will outline the number of requests received in his Department from County Sligo for grant aid from the proceeds of the national lottery funds; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
My Department make grants available from the proceeds of the national lottery under the following broad headings: (a) Irish language, (b) arts and culture and (c) youth and sport.
A breakdown of the number of requests from County Sligo for funding under these headings is not readily available. I would be glad, however, to provide details of any specific request for funding in which the Deputy has a particular interest.
