Question:

185 Mr. McGinley asked the Minister for the Environment if his attention has been drawn to the fact that (1) Ballyshannon swimming pool is closed due to a faulty roof and (2) consultants examined the pool on 1 July 1992 and found it to be in a very dangerous condition; and when money will be made available to carry out the necessary refurbishment.

Mary Coughlan

Question:

202 Miss Coughlan asked the Minister for the Environment if he will make emergency funding available for Ballyshannon swimming pool, County Donegal as it has now been closed, due to the dangerous condition of the roof; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

I propose to take Questions Nos. 178, 185 and 202 together. The submission of contract documents to my Department in respect of this project is awaited. Accordingly, the question of funding does not arise at this stage.
