Question:

190 Mr. Nealon asked the Minister for the Environment if any grant assistance has been made available from his Department to individuals or industries in the north-west for the recycling of waste; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

Minister of State at the Department of the Environment (Miss Harney):

A capital grant of £30,000 was paid in 1990 in respect of a recycling project in Letterkenny. The conditions of the grant have not, however, been fulfilled in this case and steps are being taken to recover the grant.
