32 Mr. J. O'Keeffe asked the Minister for Finance if he will outline the estimated additional cost in 1993 of the amended agreement on public service pay and extra cost of retrospective payments to cover items postponed from 1992.
The additional cost, in 1993, of implementing the Government's package of 17 January 1992 on public service pay is estimated to be approximately £350 million. This figure includes approximately £75 million to meet the cost of the arrears of special increases deferred from 1992.
