173 Mr. Barry asked the Minister for Justice if he intends to amend and update legislation, taking into account the Law Reform Commission's Report on the Civil Law of Defamation, published in March, 1992; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

Any proposals which I may have as a result of my Department's consideration of the Law Reform Commission's Report on Defamation will be announced in the ordinary way in due course.
