Question:264 Mr. Allen asked the Minister for Health when it is proposed to introduce a charter for mothers and children.

At the recent launch of a Charter of Rights for Hospitals Patients, I undertook to prepare further charters for patients with particular needs such as children, expectant mothers, the elderly, psychiatric patients and persons with physical or mental handicap. The drafting of these Charters is underway and they will be issued during the coming months.
