Question:299 Mr. V. Brady asked the Minister for Health if he will reply to representations from Deputy Vincent Brady of 28 April 1992 regarding a national lottery grant to an organisation (details supplied).
Written Answers. - National Lottery Funds.
The organisation concerned has received annual grants from the national lottery of £75,000 in each of the last five years in respect of its home care attendants scheme. I have continued this grant in the current year.
I met representatives of the organisation on 3 June 1992 to discuss their financial position. As I explained at that meeting, while I appreciate the difficulties facing the organisation, I regret that owing to the competing demands on the national lottery funds available to me I am not in a position to provide any additional funds to the organisation.
