338 Mr. Howlin asked the Minister for the Environment if he will give details of the sums of money written off by local authorities following the court decision to declare rates unconstitutional on agriculture land; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

I refer to the reply to Question No. 85 of 17 February 1988 which contains the only information available on the matter in my Department. It is unlikely that the position would have changed significantly in any area since the date of that reply.
