Vol. 423 No. 1

Written Answers. - Cork Housing.

Peter Barry

Question:

348 Mr. Barry asked the Minister for the Environment if, in view of the high waiting list for houses and the low number of houses being constructed, he will allocate additional funding for Cork Corporation in Exchequer grants to overcome a problem which is causing grave concern and considerable hardship in the city.

The capital available for the local authority housing construction programme in 1992 has been fully allocated and there are no funds available to supplement the allocations to individual housing authorities.
