Question:366 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for the Environment whether he, directly or through the aegis of Kildare County Council, has undertaken an evaluation of the sewage treatment plant at Leixlip, County Kildare with a view to identifying the source and effecting remedial action in relation to the offensive odour which is permanently emanating from the plant; if he or his technical advisers are satisfied that the plant has worked or is working in accordance with the manufacturer's specification; if he is satisfied as to the cost efficiency of the plant; if he anticipates augmentation to alleviate the nuisance; if he will state the costs of such works and the likely date for implementation; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
