Written Answers. - Disadvantaged Areas Appeals.

Question:

388 Mr. Deenihan asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the number of appeals he has received from County Kerry regarding the reclassification of disadvantaged areas; and if he will give details of the townlands that have appealed.

A total of 100 appeal applications were received by the appeals panel in respect of reclassification of an area of some 230,000 acres consisting of all remaining townlands of North Kerry which are not designated more severely handicapped.
